2020 Honda Accord Coupe Redesign, Review

The 2020 Honda Accord Coupe is almost everything that the Accord sedan is not. While the sedan offers plenty of mainstream cues and amenities of a midsize car, the coupe model offers something different. The reason behind that is simple, coupe model doesn’t have that many competitors so Honda can experiment and risk more. The overall design is more interesting and unique.

On the other hand, mechanically, coupe model does not depart that much from the sedan version. The changes are mostly visible from the outside as the coupe hold a more aggressive look. On top of that, coupe with a powerful V6 is a real fun-to-drive car.

The latest update by Honda gave a very sporty look to both models. The coupe brings more unique styling cues such as modern lines and sharp creases. In my personal opinion, the 2020 Honda Accord Coupe is one of the most beautiful coupe in the market right now. The LED headlights are available and the whole front part looks aggressive. The aerodynamics are on another level and the aluminum body provides better fuel economy.

Plenty of sporty touches are present, even that it is a coupe and not a race car that we are speaking about. The front end comes with an only one part so the headlights and the two-slot grille are somewhat connected. A large air-dam is in the offer as well, just like the fog lights. The rear will stay intact while the side profile gains new modern wheels.

From the inside, the 2020 Honda Accord Coupe is very roomy. On the other hand, the lack of the rear doors makes the rear seats hard to access. However, when you reach the second row, the comfort is guaranteed. The front seats offer generous legroom and are very comfortable. The Honda’s latest coupe will now come with the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay phone connectivities and those high-tech amenities are optional. The infotainment system is working good and it is very responsive.

Moreover, a Honda Sensing is available and it adds plenty of safety aids such as Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Keep Assist. The list goes on with the Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning. Generally, the 2020 Accord Coupe comes with a great safety rating, great comfort and plenty of high-tech features. The comfort is also on another level.

The all-new 2020 Honda Accord Coupe will ride on the same two drivetrain options as before. This is not a bad thing as both engines are working great. A standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder unit generates 185 HP and 181 lb-ft of torque. An optional 3.5-liter V6 is standard only on the EX-L and Touring trim levels. This drivetrain is capable of producing 278 HP and 252 lb-ft of twists.

A 6-speed manual transmission is standard for the four-cylinder engine while the V6 comes with a CVT transmission. When equipped with a V6 unit, the 2020 Honda Accord Coupe reaches from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. There is no information about the hybrid model, but on the other hand, it is the most likely outcome that will happen before 2022.

The price of the 2020 Honda Accord Coupe ranges from $24,000 to 34,000. The base model offers more than enough upscale amenities and comfort, however, if you want premium stuff than opt for an EX-L or Touring models. This coupe will hit the dealerships by the end of 2019.
