The 2020 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell will arrive with the plug-in hybrid that uses 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and a single electric motor. This combination generates 212 HP and 331 lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy numbers are set at the 42 mpg combined or 110 mpg on electric power.
The all-electric model will benefit from a 120-kilowatt electric motor and a battery pack that is capable of producing 161 HP and 221 lb-ft of twists. This electric model goes up to 126 mpg in the city and 103 mpg on the highway.
The third drivetrain option comes with the Fuel Cell model that uses hydrogen gas and it generates electricity through a chemical reaction. This output is rated at 174 HP and 221 lb-ft of torque. The range of this model is set at 336 miles and filling the fuel tank takes between three and five minutes.

The approaching 2020 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell is currently available only in California and is for lease only. The plug-in hybrid model starts at $35,000 and the electric model is also available for lease only. Unlike the Fuel Cell, the electric model is available in Oregon as well. This stunning sedan will go on sale in the U.S. at the beginning of 2020.
