One of the Honda’s most popular models is making a comeback. The 2020 Honda Crosstour was a very popular crossover in the past, however, the big drop of sales made Honda withdraw this model in 2015. Now, the 2020 Honda Crosstour is ready to hit the roads once again, this time with more elegance and better engine. This model is presented to the public with the name concept D.
The new SUV will offer an exterior design that is more coupe-like but with larger dimensions. A very modern approach from the Honda’s designers is visible and the results are astonishing. The model 2020 Honda Crosstour will ride on a regular front-wheel drive setup, while the all-wheel-drive system is available as an option. Five doors, numerous trim levels and sadly, only one engine in the offer. However, optional engines could be in the offer, but that information is just a rumor for now.
2020 Honda Crosstour exterior redesign
The forthcoming 2020 Honda Crosstour will get a complete redesign. After all, the latest model is from 2015, so the new exterior comes as a must for the Japanese carmaker. Unfortunately, the exterior specs are not specified yet, but as far as we know, the Honda Accord will be an inspiration for this SUV.
With that in mind, we can expect a handsome front end with Honda’s iconic thin LED headlights. Long and wide stance are providing a sportiness, along with the sloping roof. The dimensions will be similar to the model from 2015, so more modern approach will be the only change.
2020 Honda Crosstour interior offers the latest infotainment system
The interior of the all-new 2020 Honda Crosstour will look sophisticated and upscale. Unlike the older models, the new one will sport only the latest systems and premium equipment. Leaked photos are showing us a white leather in combination with grey materials. However, we don’t know yet if that is the optional upholstery choice.
The latest infotainment system is available and it supports the newest technologies, such as optional Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety rating is high, as before, mostly thanks to the automatic braking control, rearview camera, forward collision warning and lane departure warning. All those safety aids are standard, along with the traction control.
2020 Honda Crosstour powertrain options
The 2020 Honda Crosstour will ride on a single powertrain option. However, two more engines are rumored, for now, so we’ll have to see if there will be another option. Until then, a 3.5-liter V6 is the only choice. This unit provides great fuel economy, it comes with the front-wheel drive and 6-speed automatic transmission. Engine specs are not available yet, unfortunately.
The optional engine could be a 2.4-liter petrol unit with four cylinders and the 3.5-liter VTEC with six cylinders. A standard V6 provides 24 mpg in the city and up to 30 mpg on the highway. According to rumors, even the six-cylinder drivetrain will offer similar mileage figures.
2020 Honda Crosstour price and release date
The price of the all-new 2020 Honda Crosstour will start around $28,000. This SUV will go on sale later in 2019 and the main rivals are Nissan Juke and Mazda CX-3. The price is affordable, and we can’t wait to see exact specs of the Honda Crosstour.
