After the great selling year, the Honda manufacturer decides to make facelift of the popular family minivan 2020 Honda Odyssey. The new model will be a stylish, powerful and it will provide a long list of standard safety features. Also, this model is very roomy and is available with seven seats.
With the powerful engine of 3,5 liter V6, the towing of this model is 3000 pounds. However, the trims like Touring and Elite will get a towing boost of 500 pounds more.
2020 Honda Odyssey exterior look and safety
The 2020 Honda Odyssey is in 6th-generation and it comes with many changes. This model looks more attractive and some trims will get a boost in appearance. The standard one or base LX model gets 18-inch alloy wheels, multi-reflector halogen headlights and rear privacy glass.
However, the top of the line Odyssey Elite will be offered with bigger and more stylish 19-inch alloy wheels, power-folding exterior mirrors, LED headlights and more. The new 2020 Honda Odyssey Type R is also in the offer and this minivan will bring much more appearance changes.

The base model LX is the trim that will be available with many new features. This trim will include features like 5 inches color LCD screen, power front seats, push-button start, multi-angle rearview camera, and Bluetooth connectivity.
However, for around $4000 more the buyers will be offered with EX trim that will include all features available with LX trim, plus will add Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Honda sensing system and smart entry with walk away auto lock. Also, this trim will include a bigger touchscreen of 8 inches and seats for eight people. With the next trim EX-L, the buyers will get all EX trim features.
Furthermore, this trim will also add a leather-trimmed interior, one-touch power moonroof, two-position memory driver’s seat, height-adjustable power tailgate, and rear entertainment system. The one of the most equipment is the EX-L trim. This trim will offer many features and the list is too long. Some of the techs that are included in this one are front and rear parking sensors, LED fog lights and Cabin Watch. For the end, the top of the trim Elite features heated and ventilated front seats, a premium audio system with 11 speakers, blue ambient lighting and phone wireless charger.
2020 Honda Odyssey powertrain
The newest 2020 Honda Odyssey will be powered with the same engine options as the predecessor. Under the hood is lying the 3,5-liter V6 engine that makes 280 HP output.
The standard model is connected to the 9-speed automatic transmission. As for the Touring and Elite these two trims will be offered with the new and improved 10-speed automatic. Also, this transmission will offer better durability. However, the fuel economy is the same and the EPA city/highway/combined is 19/28/22 mpg.
The towing capacity of the forthcoming 2020 Honda Odyssey is also good. The base model is able to tow a maximum of 3000 pounds. However, the trims Touring and Elite that comes with the new 10-speed automatic transmission are able to tow 500 pounds more or 3500 pounds. The same towing capacity has models Kia Sedona and Toyota Sienna. The Chevrolet Pacifica as the Dodge Grand Caravan models provide little better towing with the numbers of 3600 pounds.
2020 Honda Odyssey MSRP and release date
The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of the standard LX trim will be around $31,000, and it will include destination charge. However, with the middle equipment trim EX the price will jump to the $35,000. The top of the offer Elite trim will reach the price of $50,000. With the prices above, the new 2020 Honda Odyssey model is slightly ahead of the Toyota Sienna, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan and Kia Sedona.
