Honda America has announced that it will present four brand new vehicles at the Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) in 2019. Honda will, among other things, introduce a compact sedan concept called ILX and a redesigned crossover RDX.
However, the star of the fair will certainly be the long-awaited sports coupe Honda NSX concept under the name Honda HSC Concept, which will present a new direction of the design of the Acura / Honda model in the future. We will find out more about these attractive novelties in the beginning of 2019 when the auto salon in Detroit begins.
Honda HSC Concept – Unique Feature
The Honda HSC Concept of the first generation was in its time a sports road car which, with its technique and performance, and design stood side by side with the Ferrari. Since the first model of the NSX has stopped producing, there were no rumors that Honda will offer the market a new generation of this road car. After many years that have passed, it seems that in 2019 we will have the opportunity to see a worthy successor to the legendary Honda HSC, and on this occasion, you can see photos of the conceptual version of the future Honda HSC.
The new, second generation, Honda HSC Concept will be the perfect road car that will be with the performance and dynamic behavior while driving along side of the Ferrari’s road cars and other competitors. New HSC is essentially derived from Acura’s concept called the Advanced Sports Car Concept, which was shown in 2007 at the Detroit Auto Show. The new HSC will most likely take this powerful 5.5-liter V10 atmospheric engine and a steady-powered all-wheel drive from this study.
Honda HSC Concept – Modifications in the Engine
Recall that the latest version of the HSC version produced had a V6 engine with a maximum power of 280 hp. That the new NSX with the new engine would more than double this power. The return of the legendary Japanese Ferrari with a 5.5-liter V10 engine delivers a maximum power of 600 hp and a maximum torque of 586 Nm. From Honda announced that the new HSC Concept will use all 10 cylinders only. When it will need more than half the available power and in case of rapid acceleration. A system will be installed that will allow the engine to operate only on 5 cylinders in the case of continuous normal driving in order to save fuel and reduce environmental pollution by emission of harmful gases.
Honda HSC Concept – When Will Hit the Showrooms?
The first HSC was produced in only 18,000 copies, although it is well known today all over the world. The first-generation Honda HSC was one of the most expensive Japanese sports cars in its time. And it was then sold at a price of about $90,000. Today, the well-preserved samples of Honda HSC can be purchased in the range of $27,000 to $80,000. The new Honda HSC is on the market in 2019, and the price is still under great secrets.
